Balangir: Around 11 months after the heart-wrenching incident of ‘Wedding Gift blast’ in Odisha’s Patnagarh, The Crime Branch submitted the final chargesheet against main accused Punjilal Meher on Thursday.
The state investigating agency submitted a 65-page chargesheet in the court of the sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) in Patnagarh.
The chargesheet contained the statements of 76 witnesses, observations of the scientific team and a series of facts and figures, said Crime Branch SP Anil Das.
Punjilal Meher is the mastermind of sensational Patnagarh parcel bomb explosion that killed newly married Soumya Sekhar Sahu, his grandmother Jemamani and left his wife Rimarani grievously wounded in burn injuries on February 23 last year.
