Paralakhemundi ACF death case: CB to interrogate deceased’s wife Bidya Bharati once again tomorrow

Bhubaneswar:  In the mysterious death case of Paralakhemundi ACF Saumya Ranjan Mohapatra, his wife Bidya Bharati Panda will be interrogated once again tomorrow, informed Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda on Tuesday.

The Crime Branch team has already interrogated 14 persons in Paralakhemundi in the said case.  The investigation also included recording of statements, verification of different documents, CDR analysis, analysis of the investigation report of Gajapati Police and detail analysis of the case, informed Panda.

In the next phase, tomorrow, the Crime Branch team will record statement of the complainant and his family members, and then proceed to interrogate Bidya Bharati, wife of the deceased. Two women officers of the ‘Crime against Women’ wing will help in the said interrogation. And for the interrogation the CB team has prepared a detailed questionnaire, he added.

It is worth mentioning here that Soumya Ranjan had sustained burn injuries at his quarters on July 11. He succumbed while being treated at a private hospital in Cuttack a day later.
