OMFED milk price rises from today in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The revised rate of OMFED milk has come into effect from today.

Reportedly, the same was announced on April 18 after the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (OMFED) revised the procurement and marketing prices.

The price of the milk has been increased by Rs 2 per litre.

OMFED has taken a decision to revise the rates of milk in view of the demand of the milk farmers.

A 500 ml packet of OMFED milk was being sold at Rs 23. As per the revised rate, the packets will be sold at Rs 24.

It is pertinent to mention that, OMFED is likely to launch a new variety of milk in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri namely ‘Chai Special’ which will cost Rs 23 per packet of 500 ml of milk.

Notably, the price of OMFED milk was hiked by Rs 2 per litre earlier in 2020.
