Odisha Youth Held For Circulating Private Videos Of Girlfriend

Banki: Banki police on Monday arrested a youth on charges of circulating obscene videos of his girlfriend on various social media platforms.

The accused hails from Ganjam district while the victim is from a village under Banki police limits in Cuttack district, sources said.

According to reports, the two were much in love before the incident. However, for some reasons unknown, the girl ditched the youth when he proposed her for marriage. Meanwhile, the girl’s parents fixed her marriage elsewhere which further infuriated the youth.

In a fit of rage, he tried to contact her, but the girl also blocked him, thus ending all their relationship. Unable to bear the break-up and to teach the girl a lesson, the youth shared all their private videos on Facebook and other social media platforms.

The matter came to the fore after the victim lodged a written complaint in this connection with Banki police. Based on the complaint, Banki police have arrested the accused and further probe into the incident is on.
