Odisha schools reopen after 5 days of closure

Bhubaneswar: All government and private schools in Odisha have reopened after five days of closure from 6 am today. The offline classes will be conducted till 9 am

Reportedly, the government has revised the school timings amid the ongoing spell of the heatwave.

The schools will be closed after lunch period at 9 pm in view of students being affected due to heatwave, added reports. However, the examinations which have been already scheduled by different Boards and Councils will continue as usual.

The State government had decided to close the educational institutions till April 30 in view of the ongoing scorching heat wave condition across the State.

It is to be noted here that the summer vacations for all government and private educational institutions of the state will begin on June 6, 2022, and will continue till June 16.

The Learning Recovery Plan (LRP) prepared by OSEPA will be conducted during summer vacation. This LRP is applicable for Government and Government Aided Schools. The students who are being promoted from Class III up to Class X including new admissions and also Class XI students who will be promoted to Class XII (Higher Secondary Schools) will be covered under this plan.
