Odisha receives Rs 2,750 cr investment commitments in Health sector

Bhubaneswar: The health sector in Odisha received investment commitments of Rs 2,750 crore during the third day of Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Pratap Jena said as many as 102 digital dispensaries would be set up across the state with an investment of Rs 90 crore, while Rs 700 crore will be invested for diagnostic and dialysis in all medical colleges and hospitals and other medical institutions including the Capital Hospital in the city.

Besides, Rs 1,300 crore would be invested for affordable healthcare project at 25 locations under PPP mode, the minister added.

Care Hospital has proposed to set up a cardiac care at Jharsuguda with an investment of Rs 70 crore under PPP mode, while Cancer care project will be taken up an investment of Rs 600 crore, the minister said.
