Odisha Police Launches Special Drive Against Human Trafficking, 41 Arrested

Bhubaneswar: Odisha police today launched a special drive against illegal trafficking of labourers in the district of Nuapada and Balangir and arrested as many as 41 agents involved in the illegal act.

The drive was launched as per the direction of police DG B.K Sharma. Police said that while 25 persons were arrested in Balangir 16 others were arrested in Nuapada district.

Police said that concerned SPs have constituted special squads to nab the agents. “ Some of the accused are likely to be brought under remand to further establish the connection of the agents,” said a police official.
