Odisha: Jail Parade By Commissionerate Police To Track Criminals Starts Today

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: In order to track criminals and to prevent the reoccurrence of crime, the Commissionerate police has started a system of Jail Parade.

The Jail Parade will be conducted every Sunday.

The system of Jail Parade has been started by the Commissionerate to tighten the noose against those who have been released from jail.

Every Sunday, the IIC and ASI shall visit the jails and identify the inmates. They shall identify which accused had been arrested for which offence.

The jail authorities shall cooperate in the matter and help the police officers identify the inmates based on the offences committed.

The police shall also keep track on who the inmates meet in the jail.

The inmates shall stand in a queue and then the identification process shall commence.
