Odisha: Hostel warden thrashes students; video goes viral

Bhubaneswar: A video has gone viral in social media wherein a warden of a private-run college’s hostel here brutally beat up students for allegedly scoring less mark in the examination.

Biswaranjan Rana, a hostel warden of the city-based Gandhi +2 Science College, was caught on camera thrashing two male students for scoring less mark in the exam.

Taking a cognizance action after the video had gone viral, the principal of the college suspended Rana on Monday.

The victim students filed an FIR against him at Khandagiri police station here in this connection.

Khandagiri police has begun an investigation into the matter, while the accused has been absconding.
