Odisha Govt to hold Promotion Court from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: In continuation to the special drive on promotion and as part of the 5T initiative, the State Government is going to start the promotion court from tomorrow. At least 2273 applicants have registered their names in this regard.

The promotion court will start tomorrow that is on January 28 to continue for three days. The cases of eligible Odisha Govt officials who have not been given promotion will be heard in this court.

As per the report, six senior IAS officers will hear pleas of the employees at different places in the capital city. While Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy will hold the court at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell IAS Suresh Mohapatra will hold the court at Gopabandhu Bhawan.

Akin to that Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra will hear the cases at Krushi Bhawan and RK Sharma will hold the court at Kalinga Stadium. And, Pradeep Jena will hold the court at SIRD Conference Hall while Mona Sharma will hear the petitions at the IDCO Conference hall.

It is to be noted that in continuation to the special drive on promotion and as part of the 5T initiative, earlier the State Government had decided to set up Promotion Courts (Padonnati Adalats) to solve the problems of employees who could not be promoted before December 31 deadline set by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for different reasons.
