Odisha: Family Members Stage Demo Demanding Arrest Of Accused For Circulating Obscene Pics Of Minor Girl

Puri: Family members of a minor girl today staged a demonstration in front of Gop police station alleging police inaction to arrest a youth who allegedly circulated obscene photographs of the girl on social media.

As per the complaint, a youth had captured pictures of the girl while she was taking bath and later made it viral on social media. The youth also allegedly blackmailed her to have physical relationship with him.

The family members alleged that they have lodged a police complaint on November 2 in this connection; police have failed to arrest the accused.

“We have been visiting the police station frequently but police have not taken the matter seriously. If the police fail to arrest the accused we will commit suicide,” said the father of the victim.
