Nabarangpur: An old man sustained critical injury on Saturday after being attacked by a wild bear in Nabarangpur district of Odisha. The incident took place in Nuaguda village under Papadahandi block.
The victim has been identified as Bishwanath Jani.
According to reports, a 65 year old man was working in the field when a wild bear attacked him at around 12.30 pm today. As a result he got critically injured.
The locals spotted Bishwanath in a pool of blood. They rushed him to Papadahandi hospital in an 108 ambulance. However, as his health condition deteriorated the elderly man was then shifted to Nabarangpur district Headquarter Hospital.
