Odisha CM to visit Rayagada, Khurda districts today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Rayagada and Khurda districts today.

As per the schedule, Patnaik will begin his visit with a meeting in the Maoist-affected Rayagada district. He is slated to attend a ‘Mission Shakti’ meeting at Khaliguda at 11. 45 am. Around 80,000 women are expected to be part of the event.

Apart from addressing the women’s conclave, Patnaik will also inaugurate 89 developmental projects worth Rs 738 crore. Besides, he will lay foundation stones for 48 projects worth Rs 533 crore.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in view of the CM’s visit to the district. As many as 21 platoons of security personnel including the district police and CRPF jawans have been deployed. Besides, combing operation has been intensified in the area to avoid any untoward incident during Patnaik’s visit.

Later, Naveen is scheduled to address a Youth Conclave of Biju Yuva Bahini at Goshala Padia in Khurda district at 4.45 pm. Thousands of youth volunteers from Khurda and Puri districts are scheduled to attend the conclave.

The Chief Minister will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for different developmental projects during the meeting.
