Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday pays rich tribute to freedom fighters Netaji Subash Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary and Veer Surendra Sai on his 212th birth anniversary.
The Chief Minister would visit the Netaji Museum in Odia Bazaar at Cuttack on the occasion.
Talking to Twitter, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote “Tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, son of Odisha’s great freedom fighter. His strong self-confidence, unique ideas and dedication to the country have always been inspiring.#ParakramDiwas”.

Paying tribute to Veer Surendra Sai, he wrote “Tribute to eminent freedom fighter Surendra Sai. His heroism and sacrifice in the anti-British armed struggle in Sambalpur to protect the interests of the tribals and the general public are always remembered”.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born in Odisha’s Cuttack on this day in 1897. Surendra Sai was born at Khinda village in Sambalpur in 1809.
