Odisha Cabinet Meeting to be held today

Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet meeting has been scheduled to be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5.30 pm.

Reportedly, more than 20 proposals from 11 departments are likely to get approval.

The proposals mostly will be from the Department of Industry, Schools and Mass Education, Water Resources, Skills Development, Agriculture, Finance, Public Administration, Higher Education, Panchayati Raj, and Department of Revenue.

In addition, tenders for about five mega drinking water projects and the land distribution for Angul Mega Aluminum Park are also likely to be approved.

Among other major proposals, IDCO (Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development) may also take up a proposal for the acquisition of its land bank to acquire about 871 acres of land from Tata Power Company. The mega drinking water project and the construction of the check dam are also on the list.

The Odisha Administrative Service and public employment rules are also likely to be amended.
