Odisha Cabinet Approves Two Teaching Hospitals

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet today approved a proposal on construction of teaching hospitals for two new medical colleges in Balasore and Balangir districts to improve medical education.

As per the decision, the two teaching hospitals with having 500 beds each, a service block, medical gases pipeline system and ESS building external works will be built for new government medical colleges at Balasore and Balangir.

Both the teaching hospitals will come up at an estimated cost of over Rs 286 crores and the construction will be completed in 30 months.

Besides the Cabinet also approved a proposal on providing the government land on lease in Mouza-Bankual under Bhubaneswar Tehsil in favour of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for the establishment of Zonal Institute of Education & Training at Bankual.
