Bhubaneswar: In a major setback to the BJP in Odisha, national executive member Bijoy Mohapatra announced his resignation from the party at a press conference here on Friday.
The announcement came soon after his party colleague and Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray tendered his resignation as a member of Odisha Legislative Assembly as well as from the primary membership of the saffron party.
Addressing the press conference, Mohapatra said, “The resignation letters of Dilip Ray and mine have been sent to BJP National president Amit Shah.”
