Dilip Ray resigns as member of Odisha Legislative Assembly, quits BJP
Bhubaneswar : In a major political development in Odisha, senior BJP leader and Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray tendered his resignation as member of Legislative Assembly on Friday.
The saffron leader met Speaker Pradip Amat and submitted his resignation from his post.

Speaking to media Amat said,”I have accepted his resignation with immediate effect.”
Ray had earlier alleged negligence by the Centre towards construction of the second bridge on the Brahmani River and upgradation of Ispat General Hospital (IGH) into a Super Specialty Hospital in Rourkela.
In another jolt to the saffron party, Ray’s colleague and veteran leader Bijoy Mohapatra also resigned from the BJP today.
