Malkangiri: Tightening noose around the neck of illegal traders, Police on Monday seized 1520 kg Ganja worth around Rs 1.5 crore in Malkangiri district. As many as five persons have been arrested in this connection.
As per reports, after getting information of an illegal consignment of Ganja, personnel of Mudulipoda Police Station conducted checking at Jhadiaguda area today and seized 1520 kg of Ganja from a pickup van.
Police arrested five Ganja mafias in this connection and seized the Maruti car that was piloting the pick up van. The arrested Ganja mafias have been forwarded to Court. The cost of the seized Ganja will be around Rs 1. 5 crore, Police said.
