Sonepur: A newborn baby girl allegedly went missing from the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Sonepur of Odisha this morning.
Reportedly, one Santoshini gave birth to the newborn baby girl on the verandah of gynecology department of the DHH at Sandha village in Birmaharajpur as no bed was available in the ward. She gave birth to the baby girl at 9.15 am on Friday.
Today when Santoshini went to the washroom this morning, her mother-in-law held the newborn baby. Thereafter, one unidentified woman came to her and asked her to hold the baby for a moment and later fled away from the spot.
The father, Gajendra Tandi, has lodged a complaint with the Sonepur police station. Ongetting the information, the cops arrived at spot and have initiated an investigation based on the complaint by questioning the locals.
