Bhubaneswar: In an initiative to reduce traffic congestion at busy streets of Bhubaneswar like Jaydev Vihar, Acharya Vihar and Vani Vihar Squares a new bus stop has been planned near the Satsang Vihar, informed traffic department sources.
“The new bus stop has been planned with a view to divert long-distance and night coach buses from Crown Hotel to Satsang Vihar via flyovers to allow passengers to embark those near Satsang Vihar service road. The step will bring down the traffic load at Acharya Vihar and Vani Vihar Squares significantly during the busy hours,” said Amaresh Panda, Traffic ACP, Bhubaneswar to media.
Notably, the traffic chaos was a regular affair at Vani Vihar and Acharya Vihar during the busy morning and evening hours for which several accidents were occurring. Commuters were demanding an immediate solution to the issue.
