Sonepur: Driver of a truck had a close shave after the wheel of the vehicle caught fire and exploded near Saraswati Sishu Mandir road at Dharmashala square under Ullunda block in Subarnapur district.
Luckily, the driver escaped without any injuries. No further casualties have been reported.
The incident occurred while the fully-laden truck was on its way to Biramaharajpur from Sambalpur. The truck was halfway when due to some unknown reason, one of the wheels caught fire and exploded, leading to the mishap.
On being informed, fire brigade officials reached the spot and doused the flames.
Meanwhile, Dharmashala police outpost officer also reached the spot and launched a probe.
