Mutilated body of youth found near railway track in Odisha

Puri: The mutilated body of a young man was found from the railway tracks near Kanas Road railway station in the district in Odisha on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhiren Kumar Routray of Jagadalpur village in Pipili area in the district.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the body this morning and sent to the local hospital for autopsy test.

Routray’s family lodged a complaint with the Pilipli police station alleging his murder, police said.

Angered over the incident, hundreds of locals staged demonstration by sitting on the track at the station and stopped Puri-Cuttack passenger train.

Meanwhile, train services have been disrupted between Bhubaneswar and Puri due to the protest.
