Morning Classes Begin In Odisha Schools From Today

Bhubaneswar: The morning classes in Odisha schools have begun at 6.30 am from today.

Reportedly, the classes for standard 1 (I) to standard 8 (VIII) have started at 6.30 am and will continue till 10 am.

Similarly, the classes for standard 9 (IX) and standard 10 (X) have started at 7 am and will continue till 11 am.

The Department has taken the decision of starting school in the early hours of the day due to a significant rise in temperature across the State.

Notably, the State government had also allowed the educational institutions to reopen their hostels for students from February 7 while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 protocols of the government.

The MeT department has predicted that the maximum day temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of interior Odisha. The weather department has also advised the people of the State to take precautionary measures during such weather while going outside between 12 noon to 3 pm.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall and thundershower has been predicted over one or two places in five districts including Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak from 8.30 am on April 3 to 8.30 am on April 4.
