Mission 2024: CM Naveen Patnaik’s Meet With District Observers Concludes

Bhubaneswar: The meeting of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) district observers has concluded. The BJD Supremo Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik interacted with the observers in an one-to-one meeing.

Reportedly, discussions were held on the party’s performance in the elections to panchayats and urban local bodies in February and March.

The observers have been instructed to prepare and submit reports on the party’s position in districts within 10 days.

Notably, the report has been asked to be submitted in order to ascertain the strength and weakness of the party in all the districts in view of 2024 Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

It is pertinent to mention that BJD secured 114 of 147 assembly constituencies in the 2019 state polls but its Lok Sabha seat count fell to 12. The assembly polls and the LS elections were held simultaneously in 2019.

Earlier on Saturday, CM Patnaik met with the party observers of Koraput, Malkangiri, Kendrapada, Balasore, Nayagarh, Angul, Nabarangpur, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Gajapati, Rayagada and Jagatsinghpur at Naveen Niwas. The ruling BJD has 33 organizational districts.
