Koraput: In a tragic incident, the body of a missing girl has been recovered from a well in Pukali gram panchayat under Patangi block of Koraput district.
The deceased has been identified as Padmaja Burudi (23), daughter of Daya Burudi.
Reportedly, Padmaja had gone missing from her home for the last four days. Her family members also searched for her in the locality but were unable to find her.
Later on Friday, Daya went to the nearby jungle to collect brinjals when she spotted her daughter’s body floating inside a well.
She informed about her daughter’s floating body at the Patangi police station and identified the body.
Patangi police arrived at the spot and recovered the body from the well. A probe has been initiated into the matter to ascertain whether it is a murder or a suicide.
