Met predicts fresh low pressure area by April 6, rainfall in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar has predicted that Low Pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 24Hrs.

Bhubaneswar Met Centre Scientist Uma Shankar Dash said, “An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over south Andaman Sea & neighbourhood on 6th April. Under its influence, Low Pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal during subsequent 24Hrs.”

Likewise, the weatherman predicted that rainfall is likely to occur in several districts of the State. “Light to moderate Rain/ Thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha from 8.30 AM of April 3 up to 8.30 AM of April 4.

Likewise, light to moderate Rain/ Thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha from 8.30 AM of April 4 up to 8.30 AM of April 5.
