Met issues orange warning for 3 districts of Odisha; 5 district under yellow alert

The regional center of Meteorological department in Bhubaneswar has issued orange rain alert for three district of Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: The regional center of Meteorological department has issued orange rain alert for three district of Odisha. Meanwhile, the center has also issued yellow alert for five districts.

The Southern part of Odisha is likely experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in effect of Cyclone Michaung which made landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

The districts under orange warning include Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada. These three districts are likely to experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Further, five districts including Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nawarangpur are under yellow alert for today.

For tomorrow, the Met has issued yellow warning for districts including Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada. Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nawarangpur.

Meanwhile, the strength of cyclone Michaung is said to be weaken by now. Amidst cyclone, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh experienced very rain resulting in floods in many parts of the states.
