Bolangir: A Mao camp was busted by CRPF jawans on Saturday night during a routine combing operation at Gandhamardan Forest Range in Khaprakol.
Off late Khaprakol block of Bolangir district has become a Mao-active area. Combing operations in the block are a common act. During one such combing operation by 189 Alfa Battalion of CRPF, a Mao camp was busted at a pit in Gandhamardan Mountain at Bolangir.
Even though no Maoists were present at the pit, a box full of Mao belongings was found. The box contained a few jackets, Mao books, snacks, walkie talkie, along with a large number of explosives.
Combing operations are underway in Mao-influenced areas.
