Sundergarh: In fallout of a past enmity, a man was thrashed to death by a group of miscreants in Lulukidihi Bichhatoli village in Sundargarh district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Kailash Nayak of the same village.
The victim had been to a nearby village and was returning home late in the night when the assailants intercepted him on the village road and attacked with cudgels and wooden planks. After sustaining critical injuries in the attack the victim died on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot later in the night and seized the body for autopsy.
An investigation is underway in the case.
