Bhubaneswar: A young man has stopped the second marriage of his wife at Nayapalli area here in Odisha.
The incident occurred when all arrangements were made to celebrate the Mehndi ceremony at bride’s residence in Nayapalli yesterday, a day before her alleged second wedding ceremony.
According to reports, the youth, identified as Rakesh Barik of Angul district in the state, reached the girl’s house when he learnt that she was going to marry another person.
Accompanied with his family members, Rakesh showed the marriage certificate and their photo albums as a proof that they are already married.
Rakesh has claimed that both of them fell in love and got married in a court in May 2013. He has been working in a steel company in the state, while his wife is working outside of the state, sources said.
However, the girl or her family members could not be contacted over the matter.
