Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly committed suicide after hacking his wife at Barigaon village under Ghasipura police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today.
As per reports, Nabaghana Sahu had a verbal spat with his wife Manjulata regarding a family dispute. In a fit of rage, he took an axe and hacked the woman, leaving her critically injured.
Manjulata was at first admitted to the Anandapur sub-divisional hospital but was later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after her condition deteriorated.
Later on, Nabaghana committed suicide by consuming pesticide. He was found in a critical condition by locals on the outskirts of the village.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctor declared him dead. On the other hand, the condition of Manjulata is said to be critical.
