Man bobbitised in Keonjhar over suspected ‘past rivalry’

Keonjhar: A man was found in critical condition with his genitals severed with sharp weapon in Sanpraposi village under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district this morning.

The victim has been identified as Deepak Mohanta (28), son of Rohidas Mohanta and a tent house owner by profession.

As per the family members of Deepak he went out of his house this morning to attend nature’s call early this morning and didn’t return for long. After launching a frantic search in the village his father found him in a pool of blood with genitals chopped off, from an abandoned room of a Sishu Mandir school, they added.

Deepak was immediately rushed to Patna government hospital and then shifted to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

While the motive of the attackers behind bobbitising the victim is yet to be ascertained, police have started investigation into the case suspecting past enmity.
