Anandapur: A man was killed while three others sustained critical injuries in a lightning strike in Keonjhar district of Odisha.
The deceased, a farmer is identified as Kanhu Charan Sahu and is a resident of Raipur village under Ghasipura Tehsil of this district.
According to eyewitness, Kanhu along and three other farmers were working in the fields when it started raining. In order to save themselves from rain the four farmers including Kanhu stood under the shade of a tree near the fields. It was during this unfortunate moment that a lightning stroke the tree, and left Kanhu dead and others critically injured.

On being informed, the police rushed to spot, rescued the body and sent it for an autopsy. The injured persons have been admitted to hospital.
