New Delhi: Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta today demanded more Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) Wellness Centres for Odisha.

While speaking during the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha today, Samanta said that only three CGHS Wellness Centres are there in Bhubaneswar while one each in Berhampur and Cuttack.

However, the five CGHS Wellness Centres are not enough to provide health service to the retired and working central employees in the State. Therefore, there is need to open more CGHS Wellness Centres in Odisha so that the central employees along with the pensioners and those who come under this initiative like the public representatives and journalists will get benefit.

Samanta also thanked to the MPs including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Chandra Shekhar Sahu, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who had appreciated the exceptional efforts in tribal education by KISS University, which is founded by Samanta.
