Kalahandi: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials, Vigilance sleuths carried out raids at office and houses of Kalahandi District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Senior Clerk Hara Prasad Acharya on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
Separate teams of anti-corruption wing officials conducted searches at multiple places simultaneously including a three-storied house of Acharya located at Ramnagarpada of Bhawanipatna, the parental house at Mandarbagichapada and his office at Kalahandi.
During the raid, the officials found and seized disproportionate assets worth over Rs 1 crore which includes cash, jewellery and land documents.
The raid was underway till the last report came in.
