Koraput: In yet another road mishap in the State today, at least two persons sustained critical injuries after a jackfruit-laden truck overturned at Petaghat under Boipariguda police limits here.
As per the report, the truck in news was en-route to Lamataput in Koraput district from Chhattisgarh’s Raipur to deliver a jackfruit consignment when the mishap took place early this morning. After the driver lost control over the wheels of his vehicle it skidded off the road near Petaghat and turned turtle into a nearby field.
Boipariguda Police rushed to the spot immediately and rescued the driver and helper trapped inside the mangled truck with the help of locals. They were later sent to Koraput District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in critical condition.
