Nayagarh: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials in the State, Vigilance sleuths today raided houses and office of Minor Irrigation Department Executive Engineer Binay Kumar Subudhi in the district for amassing disproportionate assets.
Acting upon a complaint, a joint team of anti-corruption bureau officials from Bhubaneswar and Berhampur conducted simultaneous raids at eight places including Subudhi’s government quarters and house in Bhubaneswar and office in Nayagarh.
During the raid, the sleuths verified various important documents including bank passbooks, land records and insurance policies.
While the raid was underway till this report was being filed, the exact amount of seized disproportionate asset will be made public once it gets completed, said a source.
