Irate locals torch Hyva truck as two bikers die after being hit in Sonepur

Sonepur: Tension prevailed in Sonepur as some locals torched a Hyva truck following the death of two bikers in an accident on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, a speeding Hyva truck reportedly hit a scooter while two persons were going on it. Due to this, both of them came under the wheel of the truck and died on the spot.

Soon, the truck driver managed to escape from the spot, while a group of angry locals set the vehicle on fire. They also had a scuffle with the police, who rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident.

Demanding the immediate arrest of the driver and adequate compensation to the family members of the deceased persons, the mob also reportedly vandalise the police vehicle.
