India-South Africa T20 at Barabati: Orissa HC quashes petition seeking cancellation of match

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has quashed a petition seeking the cancellation of the India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack that is scheduled to be held on June 12.

Reportedly, a public interest litigation (PIL) petition was filed before the Orissa High Court on June 1 seeking the cancellation T20 International match at Barabati Stadium.

One Sanjay Nayak of Bhuban in the Dhenkanal district had filed the petition and claimed that the stadium does not have adequate fire safety measures.

Odisha government and the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) along with 13 others were made the respondents in the petition, said sources.

Notably, the sale of offline tickets for the India-South Africa T20 Match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack to the affiliated units/office bearers/BCCI Affiliated Units has begun today.

These tickets will be available on 7th and 8th June 2022 at OCA Conference Hall through Bank. One person can buy only two tickets (whatever may be the denomination), added reports.
