Bhadrak: A team of excise department officials conducted raids on Friday in the block of Bhadrak district and seized huge amount of illicit liquor. Six persons were also arrested in this connection and seized a pick-up van and a motorcycle.
Based on reliable information, excise officials conducted raids as per direction of Collector and seized 1100 illicit country liquor, 28 litres of foreign liquor,32 litres of Ginger worth more than 5 lakhs and seized a pick-up van and a motorcycle.
The excise department also arrested six persons in this connection.
The illicit liquor was illegally being transported from Balasore to Basudevpur, Tihidi and Dhamnagar area in Bhadrak.
