Puri: The 30-feet-long whale carcass was seen lying on the beach near in Puri district.
The locals and fishermen were shocked at the sight.
They immediately raised an alert and informed the authorities.
Locals say that the whale might have died after being hit by a trawler.
The forest officials reached the spot and recovered the body of the whale.
