Home voting facility for elderly and divyang in General Elections 2024, Odisha CEO

On the occasion of National Voters Day, the Odisha CEO spoke about a few changes in the voting pattern in the upcoming General Elections 2024

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of National Voters Day, the Odisha CEO (Chief Election Officer) spoke about a few changes in the voting pattern in the upcoming General Elections 2024.

He said that there shall be home voting arrangements for Divyang persons, elderly and infirm voters. Further the polling officials shall be able to cast their votes at their respective booths where they will be deployed, informed Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal.

Similarly, home voting arrangements will also be made for divyang, bedridden voters over 80 and below 40 years of age.

All the EVMs have been tested and have reached their respective district centres. The first and second phases of preparations have been completed. The third and final phase is underway. It is worth mentioning that the final date for the General Elections 2024 is yet to be announced.
