Cuttack: A home guard has been killed in a road accident near Neulpur railway over bridge on National Highway no 16 in Cuttack district of Odisha on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pratap Das of Binjharpur area. He was working as a home guard in Cuttack.
According to reports, the home guard was en-route to Cuttack when an unidentified vehicle collided head-on with his bike near Neulpur railway over bridge. Pratap lost his life on the spot.
On getting the information, Dharamsala police arrived at the scene, recovered the body and it for autopsy to Badachana hospital.
The police has initiated a probe into the matter.
