Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday has lifted the night curfew from all urban areas of the State, informed Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).
Reportedly, the withdrawal of the night curfew will be effective from today, 18th February 2022.
“Night Curfew is withdrawn/ lifted from all urban areas of the State with effect from 18th February 2022”, read the official letter issued by Odisha SRC.
Earlier, the night curfew in all urban areas of the State was from 10.00 PM to 5.00 AM every day. The curfew was supposed to be effective till 5.00 AM of 28th February 2022.
It is to be noted that the relaxation has been made due to a continuous decrease in the number of COVID cases as well as the number of active cases in the state. Odisha reported a sharp decline in Covid cases today with 671 fresh positives including 131 in the 0-18 years.
