Girl booked for making Tik Tok video showing interior of Puri temple

Puri: The girl, who had shot a video in the premises of Lord Jagannath temple, Shree Mandira here has finally been booked. Singhadwara Police has detained the girl. She has been booked with four charges such as 295(A), 30, of IPC and Section 66 of IT Act and 30 (A).

The said girl had shot a video showing the anterior of Shree Jagannath temple on October 28. The video covered movement of devotees inside the Kurma bedha, servitors carrying offerings of the Lords and Ananda Bazar, the sacred market of the Lords. Later she posted it on her Tik Tok account.

Soon the video went viral and huge hue and cry arose over it. Since then police were in search of her. Yesterday she was nabbed from Nimapada in Puri district when a cultural event was underway. Police are interrogating the girl in this matter.

Notably, taking photographs and videos are not allowed on the premises of Jagannath Temple. Mobile phones are also not allowed inside the temple.
