Giant crocodile rescued with 59 eggs in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Curiosity prevailed among locals after forest officials rescued a 10-feet-long female saltwater crocodile from Arada village in Mahakalpada area in Kendrapara district today.

As per the report, a local resident had visited a nearby forest to collect firewood this morning when spotted the crocodile inside a bamboo bush. As he returned to village and informed others about the matter, villagers rushed to the spot and tried to catch the crocodile.

After coming across at least 59 eggs near the spot, the locals called up forest officials and sought their help.

Later a team of forest officials led by Mahakalpada Ranger Bijay Parida rescued the reptile along with its eggs.
