Koraput: Around six quintals of ganja has been seized in Koraput district of Odisha on Tuesday and one peddler has been arrested by the police.
Acting on the tip-off, the police intercepted the vehicle bearing registration number AP 39 TN 7495 near Dakariput when the sacks of ganja were being illegally transported towards Jeypore via Lamtaput from Andhra border area.
Later, the cops seized the vehicle and arrested the drug peddler in this connection.
The value of the seized ganja is estimated to be Rs 30 lakhs, informs Nandapur Sub Divisonal Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjay Mahapatra.
