Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Minister and veteran Congress leader Ripunath Seth passed away today at the age of 67. Seth succumbed at a private hospital of Barpali in Odisha’s Bargarh district.
According to reports, Seth was rushed to the hospital after he complained of uneasiness this morning.
Seth, who is a native of Barpali was elected as MLA from the Bijepur Assembly Constituency in 1995 on a Congress ticket. He served as the Minister of School & Mass Education Minister, Energy and Sports departments from 1995 to 2000.
Meanwhile, several politicians including Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled Ripunath Seth’s death and expressed his sympathy for the bereaved family members.
