Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Accountant General Amar Patnaik joined the Biju Janta Dal (BJD) here on Wednesday.
The retired bureaucrat joined the ruling party in the presence of party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas.
Soon after his joining in the conch party, the party supremo appointed Patnaik as the head of the IT cell of the party.
Several senior BJD leaders and Ministers including Surjya Narayan Patro, Sashi Bhusan Behera, Ashok Chandra Panda and Bikram Keshari Arukha were present on the occasion.
